Access in Clickbase is controlled by roles at the team level. Everyone in a workspace has one of three roles — Owner, Admin, or Member — and each role is a fixed set of permissions. This article spells out what each can and can’t do. To bring people into a workspace, see Invite your team.

The three roles

Owner

The Owner is the person who created the team. This is the only role that can manage members directly (add, change a member’s role, or remove them), delete the team, and manage billing. An Owner has every permission an Admin has, plus these.

Admin

Admins run the day-to-day of a workspace. They can update team settings, send and cancel invitations, and delete sites. What they can’t do is manage existing members, delete the team, or touch billing — those stay with the Owner. Note that “delete a site” is an Admin-and-above power: a Member can’t remove a site or its data.

Member

Members have full read access to the workspace’s analytics — every site, goal, funnel, and revenue view — but no administrative or destructive controls. They can’t invite people, change settings, or delete anything. This is the right role for teammates who need the numbers but shouldn’t reshape the workspace.

Choosing a role when inviting

When you invite someone you assign either Admin or Member (the Owner role isn’t assignable — there’s one Owner, the team’s creator). Pick Admin for people who help administer sites and invitations, and Member for people who just need to see the data. You can’t accidentally hand out billing or member-management powers — those never leave the Owner.
