How filtering works
Below the topline metrics, the dashboard shows breakdowns by dimension: top pages, sources, countries, browsers, and more. Each row is clickable. Selecting a value adds it as a filter, and everything on the page — the topline numbers, the other breakdowns, goals, and funnels — updates to reflect only the traffic that matches. Filters stack. Add a country and then a source and you’re looking at, say, visitors from Germany who arrived from a specific referrer. Remove a filter to widen the view again.Dimensions you can filter by
Filtering by a UTM dimension is how you measure a specific campaign — tag your links with
utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign, and each becomes a filterable dimension once the traffic arrives.
Visit count
Visit count segments by a visitor’s all-time tracked session count on the site (not just the selected date range):- Is 1 — first-time visitors
- At least 2 — returning visitors
- At most N / At least N — finer cohorts
Saved segments
A segment is a named filter stack saved for a site — for example “US + payment” or “Returning from Product Hunt.” Open the Filter menu to:- Apply a saved segment in one click (replaces the current filters with that stack)
- Save as segment when you already have filters active — give it a name and reuse it later
- Delete a segment you no longer need
