# Data retention

> Clickbase keeps your analytics data for as long as you're a customer.

Clickbase keeps your analytics data for as long as you're a customer. There's no rolling window that quietly expires old events, and no per-plan retention limit — your history stays complete.

## Lifetime data retention

While your team is an active subscriber, Clickbase keeps your full event history — **lifetime data retention**. Events from your first day are still queryable years later, exactly as they were recorded. Nothing ages out.

This matters for the reports that only make sense over long spans: year-over-year comparisons, multi-year revenue trends, and the "all time" range on your dashboard all draw on the complete history rather than a truncated window.

## No sampling

Clickbase never samples. Every metric is computed from your complete set of events, not a statistical subset, so the numbers are exact counts rather than projections. This holds no matter how much traffic a site receives.

## When data is deleted

Data is only removed in two situations, never by age:

* **Account closure.** When you close your account, your analytics data is removed. Deletion is tied to closing the account, not to how old the events are.
* **Deleting a site.** Permanently deleting a site queues the removal of that site's events (and any session replays). This can't be undone, and only Owners and Admins can do it — see [Team roles](/kb/team-roles).

There is no automatic expiry in between. As long as your subscription is active and the site exists, its data stays.

## In short

* Retention is **lifetime** while you're subscribed.
* Data is **never sampled**.
* Deletion happens **only** on account closure or when you delete a site — never because data got old.
